Mapecoat Decor Protection (A+B)

Mapecoat Decor Protection is a two-component, 100% polyurethane, aliphatic (not yellow) water-based topcoat.

Mapecoat Decor Protection resists the attack of the main strains of bacteria (Escherichia Coli, Staphylococcus Aureus, MRSA, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa), tested according to the method described in the ISO 22196 standard "Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces".

Mapecoat Decor Protection is a protective coating for decorative wall coverings, specially designed to provide long-lasting protection and to be resistant to cleaning cycles and mold growth. Such characteristics have been proven by passing the most stringent tests in accordance with the 11021 standard.

Mapecoat Decor Protection is resistant to various washing agents (products with active chlorine, alkaline degreasing agents, acid-based descaling agents) and disinfectants in accordance with the EN ISO 2812-1 standard.

When used in conjunction with Ultrabond Eco Decor Wet , a reactive silage polymer based adhesive, together with the most appropriate substrate preparation products and sealants for these types of applications, it forms a complete, safe system for installing fiberglass and vinyl decorative wall coverings with non-woven base in wet environments, including shower cabins. Especially suitable for facilitating the cleaning operations of decorative fiberglass and wallpaper to protect them from UV rays.
